Listen to one of Beaufort’s favorite historians, Dr. Lawrence Rowland, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, University of South Carolina Beaufort, talk about his mother’s connection to Kate Gleason, one of the first US women engineers, and their connection to Beaufort of the Roaring Twenties. Presented right around the corner at the St. Helena Branch Library.
