DESCRIPTION:The Dataw Historic Foundation is excited to announce that world-renowned author Karen White will be our guest speaker on April 9th in The Carolina Room.\n\nWith nearly 40 books and over 2 million copies sold internationally\, Karen is well-known for her stories set in the South Carolina Lowcountry. This is an incredible opportunity to hear from a prolific author while enjoying an amazing Southern lunch menu prepared by our Chef—including the highly anticipated Hummingbird Cake.\n\nThe cost for the event is $35 all-inclusive. While we currently have 170 reservations and 18 book clubs attending\, there is plenty of seating available for individual guests. DESCRIPTION:The year is flying by! Time to mark your calendars for the Third Annual Dataw Historic Foundations Author’s Luncheon on April 11th.\n\n\nThis event is open to everyone. Please mark your calendars and watch for updates.\n\n\nNatasha Boyd of “Indio Girl” and  Cassandra King of “Tell Me a Story” were well received. When I was moved to start this event\, I had no idea it would be such a success.\n\nI am thrilled to announce that T.I. Lowe\, who has published over books and is this year’s winner of the Christy Award for Indigo Isle\, has agreed to be our guest speaker. She is a South Carolina Girl\, and many books have a “Southern” flair. I have met her\, and she is such a warm\, lovely lady.\n\nOnce again\, we will reserve tables for book clubs. As the event approaches\, we will provide direction.\n\nAlso\, this year\, we want to acknowledge “Dataw Authors“. If you have published a book and are planning to attend the event\, please send me a brief email about you and your publications by March 31st.
