The theme this week is “Products of Datha Island.”  Some time back, the Dataw Historic Foundation published a series of short articles about our history. I’ve republished two of these below that address what was grown on Datha, as early as the mid 1700’s.

Epilogue

I compiled this short post on an iPad while sitting in a hotel room on Boundary St. in Beaufort, South Carolina. We’ve been out of town while our home is having some work done inside. We’re back, but the house is not quite ready. Sure miss my desktop computer, but I just couldn’t skip a week of 52 Sams in 52 Weeks, no matter what! I’ll be back with new material next week.
